Vintage Chinese Guangcai Rose Canton-Style Porcelain Bowl and Vase Pair – Hand-Painted

A beautifully coordinated vintage Chinese porcelain bowl and vase pair, richly hand-decorated in the colourful Guangcai tradition associated with Canton, now Guangzhou.

The decorative bowl and matching-style vase are painted with an abundant arrangement of peonies, flowering branches, birds, butterflies and fruit, framed by intricate geometric borders and warm gilt accents. The lively palette of rose pink, green, turquoise, yellow and iron red gives both pieces a striking decorative presence.

The bowl forms an attractive centrepiece for a table, cabinet or display stand, while the smaller vase adds height and balance when the two pieces are presented together. Their complementary proportions make them particularly appealing as a ready-to-display interior grouping.

The red base stamp reads “HAND-PAINTED DECORATION”, “中國廣彩” and “MADE IN CHINA”. The Chinese characters are read as Zhongguo Guangcai, referring to Chinese Guangcai or Canton enamel decoration.
