Australia-Wide Delivery

We ship orders across Australia using reliable postal and courier services.

All parcels are packed securely and sent with tracking. Where appropriate, additional insurance may be included depending on the value, size and nature of the item.

Delivery times may vary depending on your location, the shipping service selected and seasonal postal volumes.

Free Delivery for Members

Ancestral Antiques members may receive free Australia-wide delivery depending on their membership level.

This is one of the benefits of joining our collector community, especially for customers who purchase regularly or enjoy early access to newly listed pieces.

Free delivery applies to eligible Australian orders and may vary depending on item size, weight, value and location.

For oversized, unusually heavy or especially fragile pieces, we may contact you before dispatch to confirm the most suitable shipping method.

Standard Shipping for Non-Members

Customers who are not members are always welcome to purchase from Ancestral Antiques.

For non-members, standard shipping is calculated at checkout where available, or quoted separately for larger, heavier, fragile or international items.

We aim to keep shipping fair and transparent, while also ensuring each piece is packed properly and safely.

International Delivery

International postage costs are calculated based on:

  • Insurance requirements
  • Packing materials
  • Courier or postal service availability

We are happy to ship internationally where possible.

Because antique and vintage items can vary greatly in size, weight and fragility, some international orders may require a custom shipping quote before dispatch.

Customs, Duties & Import Taxes

International buyers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, tariffs, brokerage fees or local charges that may apply in their country.

Careful Packing

We understand that many of our pieces are delicate, valuable or irreplaceable.

Each item is packed carefully using suitable protective materials. Fragile items such as porcelain, glass, ceramics and silver-mounted pieces are given extra attention to reduce the risk of damage in transit.

Where necessary, we may use double boxing, additional padding or reinforced packaging.

Tracking & Insurance

Most orders are sent with tracking, and tracking details will be provided once your parcel has been dispatched.

Insurance may be included or added depending on the item value and shipping method. For high-value, fragile or international orders, we may recommend insured delivery for extra peace of mind.

Dispatch Times

We aim to dispatch orders as soon as possible after payment has been received.

As our items require careful packing, some orders may take a little longer to prepare, especially fragile, large or high-value pieces.

Combined Shipping

If you purchase more than one item, we may be able to combine shipping where safe and practical.

Combined shipping depends on the size, weight and fragility of the items. Some pieces may need to be packed separately to avoid damage.

Local Pickup

Local pickup may be available by prior arrangement only.

Damaged or Delayed Parcels

Although we pack every item carefully, delays or damage can occasionally occur during transit.

If your parcel arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible and keep all packaging materials and photos of the damage. This helps us assist with any postal or courier claim.

If your parcel appears delayed, we will help you follow up using the tracking information.
