Japanese Satsuma Miniature Vase Figural Temple Gilt Moriage Meiji Style

$85AUD

A finely hand-painted Japanese Satsuma-style miniature vase from the early Showa period (c.1930s), showcasing traditional moriage techniques. One panel features a seated sage or monk in gold robes alongside a female figure, while the reverse presents a serene landscape with a pagoda nestled in stylised pine-covered hills. The design is highlighted in raised gilt enamel with rich cobalt blue and pink cloud details. A classic example of Japanese export craftsmanship in the Meiji revival tradition, ideal for collectors of Satsuma and early 20th-century Japanese ceramics.
