Vintage Georg Jensen Cypress Sterling Silver Demitasse Spoons by Tias Eckhoff, Boxed Set of 6
Georg Jensen · Mid-20th century
An elegant vintage boxed set of six Georg Jensen sterling silver demitasse or mocha spoons in the iconic Cypress pattern, designed by Norwegian industrial designer Tias Eckhoff for Georg Jensen in the early 1950s.
Crafted in solid sterling silver, each spoon has a refined modernist profile with clean, elongated lines and a restrained Scandinavian aesthetic. The simplicity of the Cypress design allows the quality of the silver and the balanced proportions to take centre stage.
The spoons are presented in their original Georg Jensen cream-coloured case with a red velvet interior and gold crown logo. The fitted presentation box enhances the appeal of the set both as a collector’s piece and as a distinctive gift for an admirer of Scandinavian design.
Each spoon is stamped with the Georg Jensen oval dotted mark and STERLING DENMARK. The set remains in excellent vintage condition, with all six spoons clean, straight and well preserved.

Historical and Collector Context
The Cypress pattern was designed by Norwegian industrial designer Tias Eckhoff for Georg Jensen in the early 1950s. Its clean lines and functional simplicity reflect the restrained modernist principles associated with post-war Scandinavian design.
Georg Jensen was established in Copenhagen in 1904 and became internationally recognised for combining craftsmanship with innovative design. The Cypress pattern remains an appealing choice for collectors of Georg Jensen flatware and mid-century Scandinavian silver.
This boxed set of six demitasse spoons is suitable for espresso, mocha or after-dinner coffee service and would make an elegant addition to a curated table setting or design collection.
