Christoph Widmann 835 Silver Forks Set Rose of Hildesheim German Antique c1919

$438AUD

Exquisite set of 8 antique German silver dessert forks by renowned silversmith Christoph Widmann, crafted circa 1919. Each fork is part of the iconic Rose of Hildesheim series, featuring an intricately cast handle with a full blooming rose and leafy stem—symbolising the thousand-year-old rose of Hildesheim Cathedral.

Beautifully detailed with engraved scrollwork on the fork head and marked with “835” silver standard along with Widmann’s “W” maker’s mark. These collectible pieces embody the early 20th-century German Jugendstil aesthetic and remain in very good antique condition with rich patina.
