Antique Rolason Brothers Sterling Silver Napkin Ring, Birmingham
Rolason Brothers · Late 19th to early 20th century
A refined antique English sterling silver napkin ring by Rolason Brothers of Birmingham, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. The gently flared cylindrical form is decorated with finely engraved foliate scrollwork, delicate dotted details and beaded edging along the upper and lower rims.
A central banner is engraved with the initials M.M.W., adding a personal element to the design. The combination of detailed engraving, softly shaped edges and classic English silver craftsmanship makes the piece suitable for display, practical table use or gifting.
The hallmarks include the R.Bs maker’s mark for Rolason Brothers, the Birmingham anchor mark and the lion passant for sterling silver. The date letter is rubbed and cannot be read reliably.
