Historical and Collector Context
Walker & Hall was an important Sheffield silversmithing and metalware firm with origins dating to the mid-19th century. George Walker established the business in 1845, and Henry Hall joined the company in 1853. The firm later developed an international presence and became known for producing a wide variety of silver and silver-plated tableware, presentation pieces and personal accessories.
Cigarette cases were fashionable personal accessories during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Often carried in a pocket, they combined practical use with decorative craftsmanship and were frequently personalised with engraved initials or monograms. This Sheffield 1910 example retains its original period character through its compact form, linear decoration and monogrammed cartouche.
All items are vintage or antique and may show light signs of age. Please review all photos carefully as they form part of the description. Feel free to message with any questions prior to purchase.
