Antique Meiji Japanese Satsuma Saucer Pair Hand Painted Geisha Gilt Moriage

$82AUD

A beautiful pair of antique Japanese Satsuma saucers dating from the Meiji period (circa 1868–1912), hand painted with exquisite detail. Each piece features a central geisha figure in vibrant enamel robes, framed by delicate floral motifs and richly decorated with gilt accents and traditional moriage texture. The deep cobalt blue borders contrast elegantly with the warm crackle glaze typical of genuine Meiji-era Satsuma.

Despite their age, both saucers remain in very good antique condition. Some expected wear to the gilding is present, consistent with age, but there are no cracks, chips or repairs. A striking and collectable pair ideal for display or completing a Satsuma set.
