Antique EPNS Tea Strainer Ladle Nickel Silver English Shell End C.1900s
c. 1900
Charming antique EPNS tea strainer ladle with a traditional rounded bowl and finely pierced straining holes, finished with a classic fiddle pattern handle. The bowl is lightly gilt-washed inside and the handle bears pseudo hallmarks including “NS” for Nickel Silver. A finely balanced piece, likely made in Sheffield, England circa 1890s–1920s, designed to rest over a teacup and filter loose leaf tea during pouring. The bowl shows gentle wear consistent with age and light use.
